8 things about me

My friend Skeet tagged me to do this meme. Okay, I actually begged her to tag me. This blog is new and I need posts! What better meme to start with than one where you have to talk about yourself?

Each player lists 8 facts/habits about themselves. The rules of the game are posted at the beginning before those facts/habits are listed. At the end of the post, the player then tags 8 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

So, with no further introduction here are eight things about me.

1. I carry a small notebook with me everywhere I go. It has phone numbers, to do lists, and other notes. I don’t know what I’d do with out it.

2. I have a tattoo of a spider just above my left breast. I got it for my 24th birthday. Skeet, you stay away from him! Spiders represent the web of life. They build their webs every day just as we build our lives, one strand at a time. Here is a picture!


3. I am a witch. Yes, a real, live, modern, witch. To be more specific I follow the pagan path of Wicca. I’m not evil nor am I wicked. I’m a good witch. In fact Wiccans are considered the ‘goody two shoes’ of the pagan community. It’s more than a religion; it’s a way of life. I’m sure I’ll write more about that later.

4. I am on my third and final marriage. We have been together for eight years and married for three of those. My first husband I married because I got pregnant at 16. He turned out to be abusive. The second marriage I rushed into way too fast. Rebounding stinks. This one is The One. He is the greatest man alive.

5. I am a three time (documented) suicide survivor. In other words I have been to the hospital three times in order to save my life due to prescription drug overdose. The last time I ended up in the psyche ward for three days. That was three and a half years ago. I have made huge strides in my life since then. Changing what I don’t like about my life and accepting what I cannot change.

6. I have the odd ability to tie my hair in a knot and it stay there. Currently my hair is well past my waist and nearly to my hips. I have been talking about getting it cut for about six months and no one believes me anymore.

7. My favourite writer is Stephen King. I love horror. My favourite book by him is The Stand. I have read the unabridged version at least eleven times.

8. My favourite holiday is Halloween. If you’ve read this far I bet you can figure out why {wink}.
